So my first issue is that, when applying a mesh light to a text, certain letters have huge geometric issues. In the viewport they look normal but when rendered after the mesh light has been applied this is what happens. When the letters are rendered before the mesh light is applied, they render normally.
Secondly, after this issue occurs, in the viewport, the text disappears from view. As you can seee in the image below the object has not been hidden in the outliner, and in the viewport i have selected show all.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Is the text object closed? Does Mesh> Fill Hole fix it?
Maybe changing the text bevel options could prevent it?
to show the original mesh, you have to enable Show Original Mesh on the aiMeshLight node
