Is possible to somehow bake together multiple VR camera 360 renderings to create an interactive walkthrough? Or is there somewhere a way to create interactive animations from arnold? thx...
(like the Google Street view, but from interior spaces and using arnold renderings)
*updated: btw I found these sites, the only thing is I have to render some 360 images to test them
cupix.com
holobuilder.com
owo360.pro
I think you might get the best result from a game engine like Unreal. They are made specifically for this type of movement through a scene and you can produce an executable file. The software is usually free to the user for production. I don't know the licensing rules, so you'd have to consult each game engine.
I wouldn't be intimidated by learning new software because they are making it easier and easier to include your content.
Thx for answer me @Amy. Yes of course we must always power up our cg skills. That't the meaning of... cg life! 🙂 Anyway I found a nice solution: I render a lot of Arnold VR 360 camera views and then I import them as panoramas in a beautiful program called 3d vIsta virtual tour. It does exactly what I want... Better and more interesting than doing a boring animation, wich at the end is not interactive... I'll keep a mind into unreal engine, but for tell you the truth I prefer to expert my skills in arnold if I can... thanks anyway, I appreciate your opinion.
Thank you Petros! I will look at the 3d Vista virtual tour! I have never tried something like that so you are ahead of me! I was impressed with the tutorials available for Unreal and found the new interface easier so thought I'd mention it. I think the workflow would be to bake your Arnold textures for export into the game engine. I'm very interested in the virtual tour.
