C4DtoA 2.6.1.2 for Cinema 4D R21 will not work on processors without AVX

The Maxon developer forum mentions:

By default, the MSVC build settings of the Cinema 4D R21 SDK activate Advanced Vector Extensions.

This can cause issues on client systems that do not support AVX (the plugin will not show up for them).

The AVX settings are defined in the frameworks\settings\Base.props file.

To disable AVX support, simply remove the line <EnableEnhancedInstructionSet>AdvancedVectorExtensions</EnableEnhancedInstructionSet>

Can we expect an updated Arnold build for R21 which has not the

AVX dependency ?

What processor do you have ? Does it support SSE 4.1 but not AVX ?

Hi Stephen,

the processor is a Intel Xeon X5670 from a HP Z600.

The processor supports:

MMX,SSE,SSE2,SSE3,SSE4.1,SSE4.2,EM64T,VT-x,AES

The issue is AVX related because when I use the Intel SDE processor emulator where I can emulate AVX features the plugin is loading (but you can't work due to emulated performance).
