Holes that randomly disappear with OSL

I don't know how to describe it...

I want to have an effect like this:

4678-ramprage-1.jpg

I mean i want the holes that randomly disappear from the top to the bottom...

I am using Mad's shape OSL shader and a gradient map, but of course

I cannot archive the effect I want...

Any help I appreciate a lot. thx.

**My solution that is...not a solution:

You want to utilize the simple tiles instead, that has ID.
Then let a ramp over v dictate probability to print a hole.

It can be improved to be fail safe from the curve, you need to handle the float values delecatly.
Implementing a step curve will fix this. Also known as posterize.

Like this, open gif full to inspect details.

Change the defaul Catmul rom interpolation to linear for point 0 and 1.
