Hi all,
Recently I was studying Arnold and came across aiColorJitter page in Arnold's help.
That article has pictures of different examples of using ColorJitter node and particularly has a picture with scattered dices with different numbers on each face of the dice (also included it in attach).
How can I reproduce it using aiColorJitter? Can't find appropriate multi-texture node to drive input of ColorJitter.
I'm using Maya 2019 and Arnold 3.3.0.1
Cheers

It's the other way around.
You use the Jitter to drive an RGBA Switch pluged into the index, and you make sure that the Jitter has the right data channel to work with, an Integer feed in greytones, based on forexample material ID pr face, or some other construct that generates the face ID for you.
Then you can use a randimize node and hit Shuffle and numbers will randomly populate.
Its same technic to do variated colors or textures on a tree with 1000s of leafs to create randomization.
right now I just hooked two colors red and green but the more colors i put the more variation you will see...
so i created a probability shader that outputs the probability of any color onto a face....you can hook multi colors(or textures in your case) and can surely replicate that above image....
watch this :
The dice scene uses Jitter Color to alter the hue of the dice. The numbers are modeled and are not textures.
There is also Master Zaps OSL: Randomized Bitmaps Map
Thank you all for the replies, will look in to them.
Lee Griggs, is this OSL map universal and works inside max and maya without need to change anything?
Add the full pathname of the texture in Filename0,1,2 etc
