Animated aiStandin works in gui mode but only uses first frame in mayabatch.

Maya 2018.4, mtoa 3.1.1, windows 7&10. If we export an animated standin for objects using a namespace like:

- <some name>_v001

Everything works fine. If however we use a namespace like this:

- <some name>_001

Then the standin only uses the first frame in mayabatch instead of the full range, but works fine within an interactive session of maya.

So the ass files are named like this?

  • example_001.0001.ass
  • example_001.0002.ass
  • example_001.0003.ass
  • and so on...

That worked fine when I did Render > Batch Render

Maya 2019.2, MtoA 3.3.0.1, Windows 7

I don't see anything related in the release notes for all the versions since MtoA 3.1.1

I'll try with the older MtoA
