HtoA Light Instancing

I understand that in the docs it states that light instancing isn't supported by Arnold at all, and that in Maya and SI it just duplicates the lights internally. Is there a similar workflow established for Houdini? Currently whenever I need a bunch of lights I just use a block of Python code on a subnetwork that spawns a bunch of point lights with point() expressions on their intensity/exposure/color etc parameters according to a set of input points. This isn't really very efficient though, and adds excess bloat to the hipfile. It also isn't very fast after a certain amount of lights. Is there anything better?

Thanks!

HtoA doesn't support it yet, but it's something we're going to add. No ETA yet.

Arnold itself doesn't support light instances, so the plugins (like SItoA or HtoA) have to convert the light instances into copies of the actual light.
