Noice - what does this mean?

When I try and run noice from the utilities menu I get this error.

noice 5.4.0.1 [197d4d5e] - the Arnold denoiser Using 16 threads. Loading images... Loading file */denoise/test.exr". Required metadata not found, check that the image was rendered directly with Arnold.

I'm rendering everything I think I need to N,Z,diffuse_albedo,RGBA. And have Merge AOVS on and the frame range set to single frame (I only want one image). What is the metadata it's on about here? Is there a way to find out?

cheers - Aten.

Did you enable 'Output Denoising AOVs'? How are you saving the image?

@Lee Griggs Yep, that's enabled. I was rendering in the render window and once it had finished, just doing save multi-layer exr. But the noice wasn't working on that and gave me that error.

However I just tried doing a straight batch render and running it on that output and it has worked!

So is there something about saving it directly out the render window that's saving it wrong?

Yes, you should only use batch render/render sequence.
