My render starts fine, but displays in negative when finished - any ideas?

Hi, I'm trying to fine tune my render settings, trying various samples configurations, but just recently my renders have started fine, but at the moment of completion switch to a colour negative of the rendered image. I've looked through all my settings, but cannot find any obvious cause. Can anyone help please?

I'm running 3ds Max 2019 with Arnold (latest version) on a HP Pro 4300 SFF PC with 16GB RAM, 8-core 3.10 GHZ processor and a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card.

Thanks.

Can you post an Arnold log?

I have resolved the problem - but without figuring it out.

I simply opened my max template and merged in my file; now it renders fine with no negative imagery.

I still don't know how it happened, but at least it's not affecting my work now.

Thanks for help, I may well be asking again!

@Mark Wilson Could you attach the full log file? In the Render Settings, you can enable log to file.

The log is a good place for us to start.

Ive encountered a similar issue, if you have the Arnold Denoiser activated try disabling "Denoise on beauty" in the Denoiser Tab of the Render Settings
