aiPhysicalSky and Portal lights.

Can you use Portal lights with the Physical Sky? (thinking Mental Ray like) I've tried but haven't seen any improvement.

You use light portals with a skydome light, so if you plug physical sky into the skydome color that should work, just like using any other texture.

Hey Stephen, thanks for the answer.

That's what I´m doing, but so far it doesn't seem to work, with a Skydome/HDRi light portals work normally, but with the physical sky, they don't, I even get more noise.

why would this happen? Am I doing something wrong?

The noise might be coming from the 'enable sun' in the physical sky. You can try turning it off and adding a directional light.

Yes, I think it's the Enable Sun. That appears to give Arnold problems when it comes to sampling the skydome
