HtoA 4.4.0 giving errors when exporting .ass file

I updated my Arnold version in houdini to 4.4.0 today and I am getting a lot of errors when I am rendering and doing other things of the sort. I tried to export an .ass file from an Arnold ROP, but the node errors and I get this info:

Failed to save output to file "Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:/Users/peter/htoa/htoa-4.4.0_r51f71a9_houdini-16.5.634/htoa-4.4.0_r51f71a9_houdini-16.5.634/soho/arnold.py", line 14, in
HaSession.getSession().run()
File "C:/Users/peter/htoa/htoa-4.4.0_r51f71a9_houdini-16.5.634/htoa-4.4.0_r51f71a9_houdini-16.5.634/scripts/python\htoa\session.py", line 592, in run
self.pygeo_session.setUniverse(p_universe.value)
File "C:/Users/peter/htoa/htoa-4.4.0_r51f71a9_houdini-16.5.634/htoa-4.4.0_r51f71a9_houdini-16.5.634/scripts/python\htoa_pygeo.py", line 301, in setUniverse
return _htoa_pygeo.Session_setUniverse(self, universe)
OverflowError: in method 'Session_setUniverse', argument 2 of type 'long'
".

It seems to me that it is some sort of Python error, but I do not know where to even begin to troubleshoot this. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas I would be so thankful. Here is my system info just in case:

  • Windows 10 Pro, v1903, Build 18362.418
  • Houdini 16.5.634

Thanks in advance!

It's an overflow error, we have to change the type used to store the universe ID

Not repro on Windows 7
