Lets say I have a file node pointed towards a .tif file, that I've also created a TX file for using the TX manager in maya. When I render in IPR or batch on a farm, will Arnold automatically utilize the TX file without needing me to change the pathing in the file node? This is with the "Use existing TX files" enabled in the render settings.

If Use Existing Tx is enabled, then MtoA will tell Arnold to use the TX file.
Sorry to resurrect an old post, but there is some doubt here about whether MtoA will use .tx files in standins unless the file nodes have been directly pathed to them (rather than the initial exrs). Do we need to do this?
Similarly if we create an include graph with shaders would that need to have .tx explicitly pathed in the image file nodes?
Thanks

Three-year old post, a lot has changed 😉 If you're still using MtoA from 2019, then a standin has to use tx files (you have to export the ass file with autotx and use existing tx enabled).
If you're using a more recent MtoA, then Arnold itself will generate and use tx files when it finds a non-tx file.
