3ds Max Arnold Toon Shader Base Transparency

Folks,

Is it possible to render the base material of a toon shader transparent? What I'd like to do is be able to see through each object, i.e. just have the edges visible. Sort of like a stylized "blueprint" view.

Thanks.

I also replied on the autodesk forum.
You give the objects an undetectable/unmeasurable small value close to 0, like 0.00001 in opacity. You do need a value else the outlines disapear, and with a microscoping value the alpha will carry over spot on, so no worries there.

Here we are looking at the background override color and then the outlines, where the alpha ofc is only solid on the outlines, so you can drag those circles to any image and there we go.

We talked on the autodesk forum.
Just leaving a starter pack for the request here as well, so others can get going.

2020 file attached.
I originally just did a simple hack but something else was needed.
