Pre-filled GPU cache progress stuck at 65%

Hello guys

I'm trying the new GPU render, but I stuck at 65% and I waited for almost 3 hours...

I don't know what's going on, hope someone can help me out.

Here is my info:

GPU: 2080TI FE

Maya: 2018.6

Driver: 441.66

Arnold: 4.0.1

Delete everything in %LOCALAPPDATA%\NVIDIA\OptixCache and try again

Just an FYI: I had this happen on 3 out of 4 computers as well. Updated the 4 machines at the same time in the lab an figured i might as well pre-populate the GPU cache on all of them as well. System configuration on two of the machines are identical. Other two are different (Intel/AMD), graphics cards were 1080s and 2080s. Only real commonality between all of them was that it was 2018.6 and all on the same nVidia driver (can't remember which one now). The 3 got stuck at 65 and 67%. Left them for an hour, the one working machine took about 20 mins. I then stopped all of them, and ran the pre-population again. All of them got to a 100% this time but all of them took another 30 mins instead of the suggested "about 15". Didn't delete the contents of the folder though. Should i better do this? Since this happend on 3 out of 4 machines this seems to be a quite common problem?

Can you confirm that all machines where this behavior was observed used more than one GPU ? Is this happening on Linux or Windows (7 or 10) ?

We are investigating possible program cache corruption during prepopulation.

Hi Adrien,

unfortunately no, the machine configs were as follows (can look up more details on monday if you need further info). Only one is dual GPU:

Machine 1:

2x Intel Xeon E5-2630 v4

2x nVidia Geforce 1080

Machine 2:

Ryzen Threadripper 2950X

1x nVidia Geforce RTX 2080

Machine 3:

Same as machine 2.

The machine that had no problems pre-populating the cache is configured as follows:

Ryzen Threadripper 1920X

1x Geforce 1080

All machines are running Win 10 with more or less current updates. nVidia driver is 441.66 on all of them. Maya 2018.6 with MtoA 4.0.1 on all of them.
