Please note, In the example, a 2D binary image was converted to volumetric
I'm not quite sure what effect you are trying to achieve? Do you want to connect a texture to a volume or to the standard_surface transmission?
Volume tutorials are here.
Hi Griggs,
Thanks very much.
My aim is to achieve 3D volumetric using 2D texture.
Kindly revert for any possible methods by using Arnold or 3DS Max.
Regs,
For 2D you are restricted to 2 axis effect.Watch the concentric circle pattern on the link you gave, the circles run on the z axis downwards, and the circles spread through x and y.
You can project the texture via camera projection or other projection types and align the camera so it points at the location you want this 2D effect to occur.
I will attempt on your suggestion.
Meanwhile I came across a similar work performed in cinema4D:
