Katana GPU rendering Unknown Error

Oh hi there

Trying to batch render some test vdb renders.

Works in preview GPU/CPU

Works in batch CPU

[INFO python.RenderLog]: 00:04:39 13549MB ERROR | [gpu] an error happened during rendering : Unknown error (Details: Function "RTresult _rtContextLaunch2D(RTcontext, unsigned int, RTsize, RTsize)" caught exception: Encountered a CUDA error: cudaDriver().CuMemcpyDtoHAsync( dstHost, srcDevice, byteCount, hStream.get() ) returned (700): Illegal address)

Driver Version: 440.44 CUDA Version: 10.2

If anyone had input on this, im all ears.

So, Linux. What version of KtoA?

Can you post a full Arnold log?

The log header will shows us system details, like what OS, what card, what driver. And later in the log, how much memory is available on the card, and what's in the scene.

Does it crash just when you have VDBs, or with any scene?

Hi Stephen thanks for the quick answer

It does crash only when trying to render the vdb layer.

Hi Stephen, yes of course.

It only crashes when doing batch rendering of the vdb layer and only when rendering it with GPU.

It also renders fine in preview
