Displacement issue CPU vs GPU

I realized that some refraction/reflection difference in CPU vs GPU in render test I was doing where related to displacement.

Not sure what is the problem, so I did some more test ! here are some pictures.

Simple grid, area light, simple arnold noise....subdivision set to 7

The CPU version is not displaced correctly.

It's ok in Maya.

Cheers

Looks like bounds padding to me. Did you check the Arnold log?
Displacement is done on the CPU in either case.

this is just switching from GPU to CPU, padding should be the same. Did the same scene in Maya with exactly the same units, it's identical.

Thanks

If you can upload the scene we'll test it here.

This happens when you switch devices while the IPR is running?

OR do you restart the render completely?
