Hi,
If I make a simple maya scene with a sphere on which I put a standardsurface shader with a texture, my texture is converted to the tx format, and when I render I can read inside the ass file that it's referencing the .tx file (and not the original .exr file)
However, if I create a Standin, load an alembic sphere, and assign my shader, then export the operator graph using the 'Export Operator Graph' command, I see that in the ass file of the operator graph the texture is referencing the original .exr file, not the .tx file.
In my render globals I have 'Auto-convert Textures to TX' and 'Use Exisiting TX textures' both enabled.
How can I export the operator graph so that it references the existing tx files ?
Regards
Looks like Export Operator Graph doesn't apply Use Existing tx, I'll make a ticket.
Export shaders does do "use existing tx", so you could have shaders in a separate ass file, and the operater graphs would apply the shaders from that ass file. Some people do it that way to start with, but that make not work for you.
Hi,
Indeed, we export the operators with the shaders included, so if this could check for tx files before writing the ass file it would be great
Thanks
