What shader are you using on the hair?

i used xgen for the hair and this was the error i got : // Warning: [gpu] ignoring shader hair Physical Shader 1, node not supported on the GPU
Stephen, I too am getting white hair w GPU and not with CPU. This is strange, but I'm looking to do whatever works. That said I'm not exactly clear on the proper way to apply the Arnold Hair Shader to Maya's interactive groom system as it produces its own hair shader node. Do I just attach the Arnold shader on the output of the maya hair node? Thanks.
Select the description (xgmSplineDescription) and apply the Arnold hair shader.
The default hairPhysicalShader is not supported on the GPU (not that you should use it on CPU either, it's just the Maya default).
