You can try decreasing the Subdivision value, or remove it. Still do not work, try splitting the scene.
Hi, again. After I lowered the max subdivisions to 1 I got this error.
// Error: [gpu] OptiX exception: Invalid value (Details: Function "_rtTextureSamplerSetBuffer" detected error: Invalid object "buffer") //
// Error: [gpu] OptiX exception: Invalid value (Details: Function "_rtTextureSamplerSetBuffer" detected error: Invalid object "buffer") //

// Error: [gpu] OptiX exception: Invalid value (Details: Function "_rtTextureSamplerSetBuffer" detected error: Invalid object "buffer") //
The cpu renders the scene fine, but i would like to use the Gpu for faster rendering. Its a single character with a dome light and 3 other lights.
Thank you for your help
I found someone else who had the question.

I set the max texture to 5,000 and it rendered. then, I set it to 10,000 and it rendered again but, on the third render I set the AA sample from 3 to 6 and it crashed. After that no matter what I set the max texture at or how low I put the AA samples it crashes. It's kinda wonky
After certain GPU errors occur (especially with crashes) you might have to restart Maya for it to work again. In rare cases, a reboot is needed.
Wow Arnold...we have come to splitting a scene up. This should definitely be cover in an Arnold Video tutorial!
I had this issue when I referenced an object in my scene that had something wrong with the texture. It wasnt even the displacement map but the .TIFF image file was wrong somehow. I deleted the shader entirely and replaced it. After that it seemed to work again. Hope this helps.
