Using Maya 2019.2; MtoA 3.22 and Arnold Core 5.3.1.1
Rendering a scene with a scanned head (140mb) and 2 area lights; testing SSS.
Rendering 1920 x 1080 EXR with 5 AOV's, including direct/indirect SSS
Light samples set to 2, other samples are 3/2/3/2/4/2
This scene takes a longer time to render than expected. In the renderlog is a warning:
"Scene creation was a significant amount of total time (98%). Consider optimizing this process first"
How do I optimize this?
The scene uses 4 textures that are 4K; they were initially JPG images. The "color" image was 9 mb as a JPG, but 31mb as a TX.
It's hard to say without seeing an Arnold log (see the sidebar for a link to the MtoA log instructions)
Thanks
