Hi there! I have a big complicated scene for an animation short. I have two rooms (kitchen-living room) connected with a passage. I'm thinking of render layers for each camera shot but, in order to make each scene less heavier i'm going to delete objects in the other room. Example (rendering a shot in the kitchen): Render layers for visible and non visible objects in this room and deleting most objects in the other room (keeping just walls). Is this method wrong or right? Is this method capable of reducing render times for each shot?
Thank you
If you are using classic render layers, then you don't need to delete anything, just adding the nodes that you want in that layer will suffice, you should see some speed up, and lower memory usage.
If you are using the new Render Setup layer management then just adding the items you want to the collection should o the same.
