Glass appearing black when rendering (3Ds Max)

Hi,

I'm pretty new using 3Ds Max, and I have some trouble with glass when rendering. It appears to be black or grey and doesn't let the light come in to the house. I've followed this tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0F3qWVLDVCM) and it worked pretty well in a new scene, but didn't work in my scene, so I don't know if the problem is in the glass or in the light I'm using (Arnold light --> skydome). I've looked in many forums but no answer is working for me, so I'm begging for your help :'(.

You can download my project here: https://we.tl/t-mt8ysmpjey. Box 307 is the one made following the video, the other glasses on the scene were made differently.

If you need some more information just let me know.

Thanks, Dani

Hi, there is a lot of legacy materials and lights in the scene. The glass points to the max legacy material, that wont work. You need to build everything with the Arnold Standard Surface or Physical material, and use photometric lights or Arnold lights only.

So I have to rebuild everything with the materials provided by Arnold? I was using those materials because I'm following a course where they use 3Ds Max 2017 and Mental Ray... Thanks again.

Hi Mads,

I have the same issue- My arnold glass materials appears to be black especially on the cylinder and too reflecting on the plane. I tried numerous solutions but none could deliver the clear white glass texture. Noticed you helping many, really thanks for being so active and helping us. Hope my issues could be solved too. Attached my project file.

Thanks in advance.
