GPU error i cant fix

so i am getting this error

Error: [gpu] an error happened during GPU rendering : Unknown error (Details: Function "_rtContextLaunch2D" caught exception: Encountered a CUDA error: cudaDriver().CuEventSynchronize( m_event ) returned (719): Launch failed) //


i have a 2080 TI RTX all drivers are up to date and it only happens on some scenes, ive tried removing all displacement and clamping textures to 2K.

This is a fairly generic error, so it's hard to know for sure why it failed. I know you said your GPU drivers are up to date, but since there's different flavors of drivers, as a sanity check, would you mind reporting which driver you're on? Likewise, what version of Arnold are you using?


Assuming you're on the latest of everything, if you can simplify your crashing scene, ideally down to the problematic shader and/or geometry and pass us this scene, that would help us in fixing the gpu crash.
