I haven't made anything, just put the file. There is even no material preview in attribute manager. Looks like Arnold ignores hdris or doesn't see it.

We need more information Egor (and screengrabs if possible).

Are you using a skydome_light, a sky, a ray_switch shader? What is in the scene?

Are Hypershade thumbnails enabled? What happens when you click on the HDRI thumbnail in the attribute editor?

Are you using the latest version of the plugin?

Are there any error messages when you open the HDRI. What does the log file say when you render the scene?

1) I use skydome_light

2) Hypershade thumbnail looks like a gray square (because skydome_light shines with a gray color I guess) (screenshots). HDRI thumbnail looks correct.

3) Nope, it's 3.0.0.2 version. Unfortunately I have no opportunity to get a new version 😕
4) There is no error messages in Script Editor when I connect HDRI with skydome_light, everything is ok. When I start rendering there are some encoding errors in Script Editor (last screenshot)

It is very strange problem. In Viewport HDRI is displayed correctly and textures on my model look almost as they shoud do. But in render everything looks like it was filled with gray light.

What does a render look like? Can you upload a simplified scene somewhere?

I'd say you have some special characters like é somewhere, like in the project name, the scene file name, the folder path of the project, or the folder path to the render output

That's what those UnicodeDecodeErrors in the Maya script editor are about

1st screenshot - viewport

2nd one - render view. I haven't disable anything like visibility of hdri for camera

Can this error appear because of Russian words in the project, scene file, folder path names?

Message 9 of 10

Yes, if those Russian words have special characters...anything that is not abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

Damn... Ok, thank you. I hope there is another cause)
