C4DtoA 3.0.4 - Did the contour filter setup change? I can't get it to work anymore

Hi,

since release 3.0.4 the contour filter does not seem to work for me. I have tried it in different simple scenes, but the contours simply won't show up, neither with standard surface nor toon shaders.

Did something about the setup change, like the Hair renderer did a few releases back? Until now it was enough when I turned on contour filter in the render settings (with default width)

The contour_filter only works with the toon shader. Is the toon edge.angle_threshold low enough?

Have you tried the toon scene here?

Thank you, the problem was that there is a new option to "Add" the contour filter to the toon shader in the material editor, that wasn't there before. In the last releases it worked straight out of the box (and if I remember correctly also with non-toon shaders)

Don't think it has ever worked out of the box. The toon shader always required to manually set the contour_filter and the 'Add' button was there since the toon shader was first released (it sets the default filter in the render settings to the contour_filter).

Really? I have honestly never seen or clicked on that button before, whenever I had set the contour filter in the render settings it always just worked straight away for me

If you setup the contour filter in the render settings that should just work fine. The 'Add' button does the same, it just modifies the render settings.
