I am currently trying to import materials exported from Substance Painter into Arnold 3Ds Max and I'm struggling to understand why my normal map is causing this effect on a panel on my model:
The panel is showing completely different highlights compared to the rest of the model once I attach the normal map.
The node setup:
Without the Normal Map it displays consistently as expected:
Happy to upload files if needed. I've been trying to solve this for a couple of days now 😞

Similar issue here though no mention of a solution.
Changing the Order/Inverts doesn't solve it?
