Does Arnold support C4D's team render via the render queue? Every time I try it fails and crashes just after the client machine has downloaded the assets... the same scene will successfully team render to the picture viewer though

It crashes when the render gets to 5% - the point at which if I am just using team render to picture viewer the "buckets" start to fill in with the image. The console output for the client and host machine appears to be the same, with the last few lines being...

I could not reproduce it so far. Would it be possible to share the scene with me? Can you maybe reproduce it in a simple scene or without the texture? Do you have auto tx enabled in the render settings (Main > Textures > Auto convert textures to tx)? If so can you try replacing the original textures with the tx ones in the scene?
