I've exported a shder to a Materialx file (only the shader) and tried to assign it to a mesh location in KtoA with 1. ArnoldMaterialXAssign, 2. ArnoldShadingNode>nodeType>materialx
Have been unable to get it to work.
Would anyone be share a simple example file, in case you know how? Any help appreciated.

Attached a simple example based on our testsuite, that uses the material x assign nodes to assign material x to the global scene and a procedural.
When manually creating a MaterialX node (it's an operator), you need to use the operator assignment workflow. You can read about the operator workflow here.
