Arnold material on magazine preset from cinema 4d content browser

how can I apply Arnold material on magazine preset from cinema 4d content browser, I was tried more than time using user data node but I'm failed to solve that

when I'm trying to convert the material to Arnold just I get standard surface only over that preset get invalid7657-annotation-2020-07-10-234001.png


but original linked material contain c4d multi shader so I'm trying to use user data to read it but isn't a successful method

You can always convert the C4D material and modify that to your liking

Ah, it's a MultiShader... I've never had to convert a MultiShader to an Arnold Material before... it might not be possible, you might have to recreate it manually. But considering it's all being controlled by an Xpresso rig, you may have to get your hands dirty to make that work for you and keep the Xpresso controls intact.

Someone from Autodesk will probably give you definitive answers for that. They're usually very quick, very helpful and they know their stuff 😉

There's no support to auto-convert a Multi Shader to Arnold shaders. It should be basically a switch_rgba shader driver by the index of the pages.
