render error using max wave map for bump3d in 3ds Max

3ds render error using max wave map>bump3d>Normal>Standard Surface. Leaving odd topographic looking lines. Tried adjust all parameters. Is there something wrong with my workflow?

Does increasing Specular Ray Depth or Subdivision Iterations help?

Maybe its related to the Dark Patches here?
