Maya Fluid Renders scene files?

@Lee Griggs, would it be possible to make the scene files for your fluid renders on the solidangle site available. No matter what try, I can not get my fluids rendered that nicely using Arnold 5 and the Maya fluidShape.

Hi Kevin, most of those fluids are Houdini or FumeFX. I found an old Maya Arnord 4 fluid scene, but it looks like you will need SOuP to use it. Still want it?

Yes please. I'd love to see it.

Am I correct in assuming that the key attributes to set when rendering fluids in Maya with Arnold are:

  • In the render settings: volume indirrect
  • In the light -> arnold settings: exposure and volume samples
  • In the fluidshape -> arnold settings: stepsize.

Anything else?

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

The scene is five years old, so I don't remember much about it I'm afraid.

Yes, those are the right settings.
