UV Transform

Is it possible to affect ONE offset axis in the UV transform node?

I would like to plug a ramp into the offset and have it offset in the X axis only. It seems that it only offsets in all xyz directions.

Many thanks,7777-screenshot-2020-07-24-at-161603.png

Use a float_to_rgb shader between the ramp and the uv_transform Offset. Connect the ramp to the R input and leave, G and B on zero.

Thanks Peter. I found that if the ramp is black to 100% red, it offsets along the x axis only without the need for the float_to_rgb shader.

I can see how that would be very useful splitting the channels out like that though.

Thanks again!

@Peter Horvath I tried to create an animated texture using C4D noise to change offset x and y values as the method u suggested. Texture overlaps it just doesnt move around surface. Any tips?

Noise should work just fine to drive the offset. Not sure what's the effect you are looking for exactly. Can you show some images of the expected and current behavior?
