Arnold Error E06D7363, Help!

For the life of me I can't figure this out. Please, someone help. I've tried removing all materials in the scene, changing render settings/quality, and porting to a new Maya file.

See below for the Output Window:

What is in the scene?

  1. Delete 50% of it and see if it still crashes.
  2. Repeat step 1 until no crash.

Sorry, we can't tell much from that backtrace log. All we know is that you use Arnold 5.3.1.1 and Maya.

Can you post a full Arnold log so we can see what's happening up to and including the crash? See the sidebar for a link to "how to get a log".

And since you crash, enable file logging.

Try upgrading to the latest Arnold (currently 6.0.4.0) in case this crash has since been fixed. Plus, if it's one of the more recent versions of arnold, you can and should submit a crash report which we'll then look at and will help us to fix the crash.

When I use standIns (.ass) it always crashes and gives me the same message when I don't turn off in aistandinShape under Arnold procedural settings "auto instancing". So for me the problem is solved just by unchecking that option.. but I'm pretty sure that that error message can occur for multiple things.
