Arnold render problem

I am getting weird images when rendering through Arnold, I updated the graphic drivers (Nvidia) and I did reset all the settings in control pannel.7904-mountain-range-err.jpg

I never have seen anything like that. I think you will need to provide a log to help the guys understand what is wrong. If you try a simple geometry, do you have the same issue?

This honestly looks like the type of artifacts graphic cards cause when their memory gets overclocked too high.

Is your GPU overclocked? If yes reset your overclock and re-render if not read below:

Like Ciro mentioned attach the logs

Also if this is caused by a somehow faulty driver you can try this:

1. Dwnload and install DDU from the official website

2. Download the latest nvidia studio or game ready drivers from nvidia's official homepage, do not use Geforce Experience!

3. Boot into "Safe Mode" and uninstall your display drivers using DDU.

4. Unplug your ethernet cable to prevent windows update from installing random nvidia drivers.

5. Reboot and install the drivers that you downloaded before, reboot if necessary.

6. Reconnect to the internet after that.

What version of Arnold are you using? Maybe upgrading to the latest (at the moment that's Arnold 6.0.4.0 / MAXtoA 4.1.0.71) might fix it?

Does this happen with CPU too? If so, is there displacement and/or coincidental geometry?

Thank you for a response, and it didn't have any displacement maps, this also happening with only rendering sphere in the new scene. And there is no option in Arnold render settings menu to choose a device to render in my system(though I checked online). Maybe there is a hardware issue somewhere. Anyway, thank you.

Thank you. I did the above-mentioned solution but no use. And my GPU isn't overclocked, maybe some hardware issue. Thank you.

What happens when you change the Render Device to CPU?

Thank you for providing a log. I see you're using Arnold 5.0.2.1 which was released in 2017. Please download and upgrade to the latest version in case this is a bug that has since been fixed.

If it's still causing problems and since you also have similar problems with mental ray, then I think it's very likely that you have something wrong with your machine.
