Problem with renaming AOVs

Hey guys! We got a problem with AOVs with Arnold 5 (working with Maya2018.1). When we rename the built in AOVs - our comper wants to automate the process of splitting them in Nuke - they render black with no info in the image. They also disappear from the active AOV Column. After reverting the name change, they reappear. Is there any chance to rename them without losing them?

You cannot change the names of the built-in Arnold AOVs.

But you could create your own AOVs and use the LPE that you want. The LPEs for the builtin AOVs are here: https://support.solidangle.com/x/rQAnAg

thank your for your answer! Is there a way to do this for Utility Passes like the ID AOV?

I just had the same problem. Why is there an option to rename them if it breaks them?

For that particular case you could create a custom AOV and plug an aiUtility set to ID in the shader attibute of the AOV. Same goes for a UV AOV.
