Hi all
Just getting normal maps working in Arnold. My process is:
- Arnold Standard material
- in the Normal input, attach an arnold Normal Map node.
- attach either a General>Bitmap, or an Arnold>Texture>Image into the input
This works. However, I run into problems when I try to use a UV channel other than 1. If I switch the Bitmap or Image to Map Channel 2, (or UV Set uv_2), I see a really obvious seam in the normals.....a seam that exists in UV channel 1!
So, to recap, If I have a UV seam in channel 1, but set my normal map to channel 2, I see the normal map as it should look using channel 2, but with Channel 1's seams.
Has anyone encountered this? Is there any workaround, other than only using channel 1 for normal mapping, or making sure channel 1 has no visible seams?
