Hi,
after an upgrade to an RTX 3090, i decided to give another go to arnold GPU on my current project, problem is, i'm using light blockers and even though it says in the doc that it is supported, it does not seems to be working on my end.
I've copied the AGS node i'm using on CPU and only enabled GPU, so values are the same on the ray depth and AA/AAA sampling. Yet the GPU render looks like there's only one if not two lights actually working and the result is drastically different...
I'm running Katana 3.6v2 with KtoA 3.0.4.3, GPU drivers are the latest Nvidia Studio ones. In sum, everything seems up to date.
Hi!
I was unable to reproduce the issue, but I'm on an old GPU. Light blocker is just regular code, it should not be affected much by GPU hardware.
Could you please send us a scene to reproduce the issue? Are you using the 456.38 driver?
Hi Pal,
Yes i'm running the 456.38 driver.
About the scene i can send you the project if want/like.
Here's the download link to the project. You just have to rebake the KLF and everything should be working right away.
Cheers
"project files" is non-clickable and there is no URL associated, not sure what's going on. Can you please double-check that the link is correctly formatted?
Hey!
Sorry for the lack of replies, we were busy with the 6.1 release. Just wanted to let you know that this wasn't forgotten.
Hey, no worries i figured there was something 😉 Quick update, with 3.1.0.0, one of the twoi shot from the file i've sent you won't render on GPU while it was working prior the upfate. Also, for whatever reason, i have a HUGE loss in light/bounces between CPU and GPU engine (with light blocker totally removed to avoid the behavior reported previously).
Cheers.
