It's a bit of a pain having to have to much subdivisions on a sphere just to make it "look perfect" is there any work around on this?

Supporting the 'Render Perfect' option on the Sphere object is on my todo list for a long time, but I have always found something more important to do. You know how it goes. I'll take a look how difficult would this be to add. Until then a workaround could be to render an emitter with one static particle in 'sphere' mode. Or having a mesh with one point and the Arnold Mesh Particles tag applied.
