If you could build the best performance out of a workstation?

Hi,

After being a Mac Pro user for years, I'm thinking of changing to windows, mainly to get more power for a fraction of the price.

Therefore I'm looking for the best workstation performance for C4DtoA for my budget (4k).

Do you get more value for your money investing in CPU power or GPU power nowadays with the new GPU render mode in Arnold 6. From what I read it is still not as reliable as the CPU version, but on the other hand will allow me to work out on other render engines too.

What would be the core elements you would have in your machine to achieve this optimal performance? Both on the IPR (fast response) as well as fast final renders.
