does transmission REALLY require that opaque be disabled?

so here, under "Weight," there's a note that says i need to disable "opaque."

before the note at the end of "Color," once again it says that i need to disable "opaque" to get colored shadows.

but i see no discernible difference. looks the same with and without "opaque." colored shadows are there regardless.

[not gonna attach the second cuz it's literally the same]

could someone tell me how to recreate a scene that will demonstrate the difference?

i just made a sphere, added aiStandardSurface, enabled only transmission [and set color] and specular.

Opaque is automatically disabled when you have non-zero transmission

What if it didn't have any color?

The output I'm getting produces no shadows
