Heh funny, I'm working on something very similar. (see my post just now).

Use the Meshlight Tag instead of the object. Then you can clone the lightbulb along a spline. I also managed to get the lights to flicker on/off using a Mograph effector.

Oh great thanks!

Using the Arnold Mesh Light tag is recommended. Then you can just select multiple objects and assign the tag to them like any other tags. And you can also clone the object with the tag as Jo suggested.

Hi Thanks for the answer,

I was wondering if I could something like this (see image) but it doesn't work. I don't want to manually go through each capsule. I, unfortunately, made the cloner that I used to align each bulb so I don't want to recreate that again. assigning-one-mesh-light-to-multiple-object.jpg

Unfortunately the mesh light tag is not hierarchical, so it does not work when assigned to a parent object.

If all your objects called Capsule you can filter by name in the object editor, select all and add the tag to them in one step.
