Arnold running via Rosetta 2 on Apple M1?

Hello there,

I don't know much about Arnold. However, I bought the new Apple M1 MacBook Pro and I thought of doing some 3D Art with Cinema 4D. I am very curious about the Arnold render engine. So, does Arnold run via Rosetta 2 for rendering? In first place I don't care about performance or anything like this. I'm just a beginner.

Thanks!

It should run ok. We're still testing it, but so far it's working.

Hello, is something planned in the meantime to adapt Arnold to Apple Silicon? I think it is important für Apple user. For example, I'm about to decide to buy new computers and I'd like to know if I should wait a little longer or if I should switch to another renderer in general.

Any updates on if Arnold will be Mac M1 campatiable in the near future?

Sorry, really can't say anything else, then work in progress. Can't give an ETA because of legal reasons.
