Arnold meshlights randomly turn off in 3dsmax

I have small decorative mesh lights on models and they randomly turn off in renders - anyone experienced similar thing ?

Could it be because the area size is too small and the Camera (AA) samples are not high enough to pick them up? Are the light samples high enough?

Do they have to be mesh lights? They are expensive to render and might not be worth it if they have a small area size (use emissive geometry instead).

It is hard to tell without images. Could you provide images where this occurs, please?

I can't really provide much, it's all under NDA , I'll try posting some sections. Render cost is not an issue, farm renders it so that doesn't matter really.

Maybe the size is an issue, these are tiny objects, I'll play around with scale a little, thanks.

Here's a 100% scale crop from a 2K render, mesh lights only , 2 green one red , AA samples were only 3 or 4 , farm rendered half the frames without these, final renders will be 4K which means larger area and I think these can be scaled to be a bit bigger too.

Sampling doesn't seem to have an effect on this, even -3 will mostly render these lights, must be something else. Never experienced this even though I had similar lighting setups before 😕
