Noice.exe is not working with imagers

MaxtoA 4.2.2.20

I made some renderings with no exposure control in environment

settings and only used imager exposure in arnold settings.

I normally rendered some stills and enabled as always

to output denoising AOV's.

I drope those files in the folder where noice.exe is and I denoise them

with the following parameters:

noice -i filename.exr -o finlname-denoise.exr -v 0.5 -sr 15 -pr 3

The new exrs that are produced they are not denoised and

they are exactly as the original exrs, with noise.

Can somebody replicate that or tell me if I am doing something wrong?

thx.

Can you post everything that noice prints out when you run that command?

Are you using imagers in this scene?
That causes problems with the noice, because the imagers modify the variance AOV. And that messes up the denoising.

yes Stephen, I just saw from 6 January that thread that is

not working with imagers...

So now what?

There is no meaning to rendering without being able to denoise....

I have to go back to physical camera exposure control and active shade...

If it's a single frame, you can use the Noice imager.
It's the separate noice command-line that will have a problem.

Stephen, tried to denoise within max and arnold render setup dialog,

manually one frame and still the same...

Have you tried the new imager_denoiser_noice in the latest version of MAXtoA, Petros?

Yes Lee it works!!!! 🙂

My problem that emerged now is that I get no image to anrold renderview window..

It's totally black: (right window renderview, left window production)

Are they old imagers from a previous build? Try creating new imagers or delete them to see if it renders.

Thx Lee, finally as soon as enabled AOVs in renderview->view dialog, everything now

is working. It was disabled...
