In the SHOP context Tab > Arnold > Arnold Shader Network i create an arnold_vopnet1 node & double clicked but in TAB menu i dont have shaders, light's etc. I only have output, texture, utility, view. I need to find standard surface node.
First, how to do you start Houdini? Don't double-click on a hip file, that won't work because the Houdini environment won't be set up correctly.
What's your houdini.env look like?
You want something like this (PATH is for Windows only):

You want to see the HtoA location at the start of HOUDINI_PATH
If you have other renderers and plugins, I would remove all other plugins from HOUDINI_PATH, get HtoA working, and then put the other stuff back.
I also have this same problem, I installed Arnold for Houdini and the Arnold settings are showing up in some Houdini menus but not others. I don't see Arnold in the /mat or /shop context menus. Any help on how I can fix this issue, it really has been bugging me for the past several days. I can't seem to find a solution online.

The <<don't double click on the hip file>> is what helped me ! In my arnold_materialbuilder the standard surface and all others options are there.
Just open houdini and open your hip file from houdini 🙂
