saving as a TIFF

is there a way to add a sane file saving method when saving render as .tiff from Arnold Renderview? currently it always saving as a .jpg no matter if i adding extension to file's name or not.
(yeah, i know that can be get from [project_dir/images]/tmp).

also it would be very nice if you can make possibility to get transparency without AiSkyDomeLight set visibility - camera to 0.

all of above currently looks like shamanism and dances with tambourines, so i'm asking for UI to be more friendly to user.
thanks.

You mean File > Save Image ?

I just saved example.tif from the Arnold Render View, and it's a tif.

  1. In the Arnold Render View, click File > Save Image
  2. In the File Name box, give the output file a .tif extension
  3. You get a tiff file
