UVW mapping particle data with Tyflow - bug

Hi,

I've noticed a change in how Arnold is applying mapping data from Gradient Ramp shader using Tyflow's Mapping operator. The Max Viewport and Scanline render look correct but Arnold renders the full gradient map on each particle shape.

The change happened after MAXtoA-4.0.5.31, when reverted back to this version the result is good.

This can be validated using the Tyflow example scene tyFlow_UVWGradient_001.max.

I have also tested this with the latest version (MAXtoA-4.3.1.20)

There is a confirmed workaround using a tyCache (thanks to Simone Natasi for finding it).

Are there any plans to fix this issue in the next release of Arnold?

This bug has gotten a ticket and is being looked into.

I can't tell you what state it is in, but just wait.

MAXtoA version 5.4.0.37 (2022) more than 1 year late and I still get the same problem. Has the problem been solved?
