Specular maps are not working.

Hi!

I am not sure where you plug in the specular maps in Arnold. At the moment I have the specular map in the roughness tab. But it doesn't appear in the render. Any help on this would be great.

Thank you!

Are they definitely roughness maps and not specular_weight or specular_color (post one here)?

specular_roughness

There is a shader example here (scroll down). A range shader will also give you more control (image->range->specular_roughness).

Hi Lee,

This is a specular map exported from zbrush.

I am guessing that is a specular_weight map, but I could be wrong. The best thing is to try it with both and post the results here.

Add a range shader as I suggested and that will give you more control over the look of the specular_roughness.
