toon shading from bounding box ?

Hello,

Is it possible at all to shade an object, let's say a tree, with the inherited normals of a sphere ? Like in a video game ? I'm trying to achieve a toon shading !

I tried the shading point of the utility node but it does not move with light ...

Thank you very much for your time and help !

What is the effect that you are after that the toon shader can't already do with tonemaps (images help)?

I want to use the normals of a bounding box to shade a more complex object, in order to keep the outline of my object BUT have a simple shading inside. Like in a video game. You can achieve this in 2 clics in Blender but not in C4D, I was hoping Arnold could handle the transfer.

Like, I'd want the detailed object on the right to get the normals from the regular sphere on the leftcapture-decran-2021-02-22-a-141225.png

With the shading point from bounding box option of the Utility Node I get the information I need, but I can't find a way to render my object with this normal information.

Is it possible at all ?

Thank you very much !
